Raised on a small farm on the Oregon Coast Range, Butch Alford spent grades 4 through 10 in creative isolation; with animals, imagination, and no audience but himself. That solitude became the engine behind the Mystery of the Screaming Mountain series. Every character, every storyline was built in his imagination long before it ever hit the page.
